Prayer

 The best prayer is The Saint Gertrude prayer, it is difficult to know which is the original as there are so many versions out there. I say the following "Dear God, I offer up all the masses said in the world since the last time I prayed this prayer, for the sake of souls in purgatory, peace in the world and the Holy Father's intentions. I offer it in union with the precious blood of Jesus Christ for the souls at risk of dying in a state of mortal sin". 

    I have found that this prayer seems to work because at times I have found God doesn't seem to be listening and so, I pray "If there are any souls in Heaven, who I've retrieved from Purgatory, please help with......." Quite often I'll get the request granted. Obviously you can't try to have 2 way conversations with the Holy Souls  Remember, the mass is the most powerful prayer we have, however we can offer any prayer for them.
